Jai Uttal invites you to sit, sing, and explore the world of Bhakti Yoga—the Yoga of Love.

In this intimate and spacious workshop, we will connect with our hearts and reflect on how this connection ripples outward into our relationships and into the flow of life itself.

The simple practices of Bhakti Yoga awaken the well of emotions within us and rekindle the long-forgotten memories of Divine Love that live in the DNA of every being.

Through the practice of Kirtan, we explore, express, and share the deepest caverns of our souls and, ultimately, discover the eternal spring of love.

This experience will weave together: Chanting, Storytelling, Conversation, Japa, and Lullabies. (no asana)

The Sunday Special is at the heart of who we are. We come together as a community of practice to support ourselves, our families, and ultimately the world. All proceeds from the Sunday Special go to different non-profits, sometimes local, sometimes global.

In this two-hour session, we have the luxury of time to move our bodies, quiet our minds, and tend to our hearts together. You’ll experience the joy of being part of a community of practice and come out feeling recharged and restored.

This session will often feature live music and Mumbai Mix’s delicious chai and samosas will be served afterwards.

April's proceeds will support One Tree Planted.

One Tree Planted is a non-profit organisation focused on restoring forests, creating habitat for biodiversity, and making a positive social impact around the world. Since 2014, the organisation has planted over 135.5 million trees across 82 countries. Through this work, they've restored over 118,518 hectares of forest across the world.

Open to all levels 12 years old & up.

  • Jai Uttal is a Grammy nominee, kirtan artist, multi-instrumentalist, and ecstatic vocalist. He is considered a pioneer in the world music community with his combined influences from India and American rock and jazz. Jai has been leading, teaching, and performing World Music and kirtan—the ancient yoga of chanting or singing to the Divine—around the world for close to 50 years, creating a safe environment for people to open their hearts and voices. He grew up in New York City and lived in a home filled with music. Jai began studying classical piano at the age of seven, and later learned to play old-time banjo, harmonica, and guitar. At age 17, he heard Indian music for the first time, and two years later moved to California and studied under the famous sarod player, Ali Akbar Khan. Jai later began taking regular pilgrimages to India, living among the wandering street musicians of Bengal, and singing with the kirtan wallahs in the temple of his guru, Neem Karoli Baba. Jai has emerged as a leading influence in the Bhakti tradition. He considers bhakti to be the core of his musical and spiritual life.
