After several years of practising yoga regularly at Sangye Yoga School and observing the transformative qualities of the practice, Lauren wanted to delve deeper. So in 2019, she completed her teacher training with Cat Alip Douglas and Phil Douglas.

Lauren has seen firsthand how a disciplined practice can change the way you experience the world. She became a teacher so she could pass on a bit of what she has learned in the hope that it may benefit others.

“Lauren is a great Yoga teacher who is aware of the different needs in each of us. She is patient in her response to everyone’s requirements. She is spontaneous, joyful, lovely, and bubbly. If you have not tried her Yoga classes, what are you waiting for!” Eva, WYKD student

About WYKD:
The seed for WYKD was planted in the Spring of 2021 (shortly after the last UK lockdown). Recognising that access to well-being practices such as yoga was still limited for many, Lauren wanted to create an accessible yoga program within a safe space for our community and provide classes that would reach people who might not otherwise have access to them - whether it was for financial reasons or perhaps they had just never felt comfortable previously.

Rob, a friend and fellow yoga teacher had expressed a similar interest so we got cracking and met up with fellow like-minded yogi friend Keri and started planning WYKD.

Our WYKD team grew bigger and classes started in the Summer of 2021.

At WYKD we believe access to well-being should be universal so we have created free of charge, inclusive classes with a safe vibe and no judgement, where students can completely focus on their practice and wellbeing. Community students can reconnect, improve their physical and mental health, heal and hopefully feel empowered in themselves.

Classes have built a further community where students have been able to make strong, supportive connections with themselves and others.

We are so grateful for all the amazing support along the way.
