Christian is an experienced yoga teacher and multi-instrumentalist who offers a unique approach to Vinyasa combining mindful movement, breathing practices, healing themes & storytelling, and music medicine. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, where he founded Casa 111 yoga studio, Christian has been teaching full time for the past 13 years, and has travelled extensively running retreats and teacher trainings in Europe, Indonesia, and South America.

Inspired by a deep appreciation of native wisdom and Eastern spirituality, he maintains meaningful connections with Indigenous communities in Brazil (Aldeia Segredo do Artesão), and graduated in 2017 with a master's degree in the History & Traditions of Yoga at SOAS University of London. Learning from the natural world, studying the sacred texts, connecting in community, and putting it into practice for a more compassionate world continues to inspire his life. More recently, Christian furthered his studies in myth and storytelling with Dr Martin Shaw.

Alongside his business partner and dear friend Mona Lisa Godfrey, he is co-founder of High Yoga School — running yearly 200h and 300h trainings in the UK and abroad.

"Christian is one of the few teachers I have met who has the rare and impressive ability to distil complex philosophical concepts and communicate them in a way that is relevant and meaningful to students. He also has the ability to connect with students in a way that is unmatched by any teacher I have practised with!”
