Hi, I am Manizeh and Love Supreme Projects has been a lifetime in the making. In a world in which it feels increasingly difficult to not shut down and protect the heart, a community of practice that cracks the heart open feels more essential than ever. The philosophy and technologies these practices provide, that combined, stimulate the intellect, move the body and open the heart, are unbeatable tools to get through the ups-and-downs of life. It is the open heart that tends the world.
I consider myself a global citizen. I was born in Pakistan, grew up in Switzerland, and attended college in the U.S. before finally laying down roots in London, a city I love. After years of working as a technology investment banker and at start-ups in San Francisco, I gladly gave it all up when I found my calling in Yoga. I became an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher in 2003, studying directly with Sharon Gannon and David Life. I opened Jivamukti Yoga London in 2005 and started the yoga program at Maggie’s Cancer Centres in London. After teaching live classes online throughout the global pandemic, I felt a portal had opened to share these practices in a fully unapologetic way–especially chanting mantra–a practice that continues to crack my heart open, over and over again. And so I started Love Supreme Projects in February of 2022: a place where I can finally bring together the best teachers, musicians and practitioners I know in an elevated environment.
I released my debut album ‘Mahku’ at the end of 2025 on LEITER. Songlines described it as “bridging ancient devotion and contemporary spiritual Jazz.” It was co-produced by my labelmate, ganavya, who also sings with me on multiple tracks, and LEITER’s co-founder, Felix Grimm. It was recorded at the label’s iconic Funkhaus recording studio in Berlin. The album opens with ganavya, my teenage daughter, Mahku, and myself singing a 3,000-year-old Zoroastrian prayer ‘Ashem Vohu’. It was taught to me as a child by my grandmother, Mahku, my daughter’s namesake. The album brings together a stellar cast of musicians, including my longtime teacher, Jai Uttal, who has shared his gifts and talents with me for over a decade. It also features jazz bassist, Ben Hazleton, who I frequently collaborate with at Love Supreme Projects. You can listen here
What cracks your heart open? “My village of family and friends. The Love Supreme Projects community. Chanting together. Eating a perfectly ripe Alphonso Mango. Sometimes silence.”
“I’ve taken many yoga classes, but Manizeh’s class is much more than just a class. It moves and shakes you to the core. It’s hard to put in words how much she has given me. She is a heart opener. No class or teacher has given me so much. Her classes are life changing.” – Marie-Louise Scio
“Manizeh is a rare teacher who sees the innate wisdom, serenity, holiness, and happiness inside of everyone. She is committed to honouring that light in the individual and with her skill, dedication, and guidance the brightness gets brighter.” – Sharon Gannon
