Emily was first introduced to yoga in 2010. Despite the intensity of her first experience on the mat, a burning desire to return persisted that is still with her every day. She was later introduced to the Jivamukti method. Fascinated by the depth of the practice she undertook training and went on to become an advanced certified Jivamukti Teacher.

Her interest in the human body as a whole, as an intricate tapestry of emotions and experiences has led her to train in Yin Yoga, serving as a necessary balance complementing the stronger physical Jivamukti practice. She has also completed training in Breathwork, Pranayama and Prana Kriya Yoga, which focuses on breathing techniques, cleansing and balancing on a subtle level.

Throughout her teaching journey, Emily has witnessed the impact of ancient practices and their power to bring about balance, harmony, and healing on a physical, mental, and emotional level. Through her hands-on assists, guidance of the breath, sequencing, and her love of chanting and weaving in ancient philosophical teachings, Emily seeks to create an opening for others to connect with themselves and the class community, extending this connection beyond the mat into daily life.

“Emily is an exceptional teacher. Her classes are always beautifully sequenced and skillfully delivered. She embodies complete awareness, confidence, and grace.
