Diversity advocate. Mad about music. Creative across many forms.

Hi, I am Luis. I am an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, trained in New York with Sharon Gannon, David Life and Petros Haffenrichter. I am also classically trained as an actor and singer.

With a focus on breath and alignment, my sessions include creative flowing sequences, Sanskrit chanting and hands-on assists, all set to an eclectic soundtrack and always ending with deep relaxation. I hope that students go beyond — and take something from the practice off the mat and out with them into the world.

It was at drama school that I first found my yoga practice, as a way to support my movement and dance training. I discovered the Jivamukti method through a friend and have focused on this method ever since. I felt like I had discovered a wonderful secret; I felt so aligned with the practice, and everything about it resonated deeply with me, and I felt a strong sense of coming home.

The yoga practices have supported me on so many levels that I feel a strong sense of responsibility to share, and it was this which initially inspired and continues to inspire me to teach. I would like to express my deep gratitude to my teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life for their teachings and inspiration.

I’m grateful to be able to share yoga to such a diverse group of students at Love Supreme Projects, where everyone is welcome. There has been real effort and care made, and this is evident in our teaching and front-of-house teams.

What cracks your heart open? “Live music across all genres and styles. Weather over 30 degrees. Exquisite food and wine.”

“I started practising regularly with Luis while recovering from an injury, and I can 100% say that his classes were pivotal in helping me to get my strength back – and doing so in the safest possible way. His classes are so beautifully paced, making each one feel like a moving meditation. My brain and body always feel so much better after practising with him.” – Nadine Sharkey

“I love Luis’ classes: rooted in the Jivamukti Yoga method, they are rigorous, thoughtfully sequenced and reflect his depth of teaching experience. Luis weaves yoga philosophy through the asana practice, bringing to it his own, often humorous, always perceptive, interpretation based on his own practice (on and off the mat).” – Jane Massey

“Luis’s technical accuracy and his deep knowledge of the asana and the Yoga Sutra are a source of inspiration. His ability to share that knowledge has helped me to deepen my practice. Luis also has a wonderful ability to inject levity and humour, making every class both enlightening and enjoyable.” – David Robertson
