Over sixty years ago, behind the large wooden doors of 92 Golborne Road, stood ‘Peak House’; a halfway house, which fed and housed men out of prison. We had a visitor come in to Love Supreme Projects a few months ago who told us the story of how this house used to be run. What was most amazing was that on the top floor the men prayed, and at the bottom, they were served hot tea…sound familiar? He told us that this house was a healing house, giving these men a community that they could always come back to and lean on.
Sixty years on, this building houses a growing community of practice, committed to cultivating love and peace and spreading it far and wide. The ‘Bhav’or atmosphere of unconditional love that was created all those years ago still permeates the place. As we celebrate our second anniversary, we thank all of you for keeping the love growing and going. Here’s to continuing on this path, one cup of chai at a time.
