Hi! I am Christian. My journey teaching yoga began in 2012, having just moved from Rio de Janeiro, the town I was born and raised in, to study in the UK. Stepping on the mat continues to inspire me towards inner balance as well as integrity & accountability in society. Yoga, music, and native wisdom are pillars that reignite my passion for living, and I feel very fortunate to teach group and private classes, as well as run retreats, teacher trainings, and events in Europe and South America.

I trained in traditional Hatha Yoga and Indian contemplative practices. This was followed by more dynamic approaches, such as Ashtanga and Rocket Vinyasa, and later I specialised in the therapeutic styles of Yin and Forrest Yoga. My interest in native wisdom and Eastern spirituality led me to sit in ceremonies with indigenous communities as well as in academic circles at SOAS (University of London), graduating with a master’s degree in the History and Traditions of Yoga. I am the co-founder of High Yoga School, a London-based institution known for its commitment to excellence in yoga education, as well as the owner of Casa 111 Yoga Studio, in Rio de Janeiro.

"Christian’s classes are a journey for the body and soul. There are only a handful of teachers that I know that can lift my yoga practise up to a different level and Christian is certainly one of them." - Maartje Pasman

"Christian is one of the few teachers I have met who has the rare and impressive ability to distil complex philosophical concepts and communicate them in a way that is relevant and meaningful to students. He also has the ability to connect with students in a way that is unmatched by any teacher I have practised with!”
